Hey, everyone! Let’s celebrate Friday with another installment of our Who’s Who series. This week, we’re going to be focusing on our senior graphic designer, SaRae Henderson!

SaRae (or just Rae around the office) has been with Greater Than Games since 2016, and her long list of projects shows it. She headed the graphic design for Spirit Island and Homebrewers and the layout and some graphic design for Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition. She does so much more than just design for our games. If you’ve ever seen a graphic on our social media? Chances are you got a direct look at her work there, too. She is an invaluable member of our team who’s always ready to lend a hand with any project we may need. Let’s get to know her a little better!

What’s one of your favorite things about working in the design department?

SH: My favorite thing about being an artist and graphic designer is being able to take an idea I created in my mind and making it into something others can appreciate. I love working with the design team because we each have our own artistic styles and creative abilities. When we bring those together, we create such great things!

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

SH: Haha, my favorite way to unwind is to nap! It gives me a chance to rest and recharge.

What did you want to be when you were a child? Were you always artistic?

SH: Ever since I was a child and up until I graduated high school, I wanted to be a veterinarian. Right before I started college, I changed my major from animal science to art/graphic design. I’ve always been into art as a hobby, but once I took a graphic design class, it became a passion.

What’s one thing you wish people knew or understood about working in the design department?

SH: Working in the design department, you know your idea/concept may not always be perfect, but working with your team can bring so much inspiration and motivation that’ll help push you towards a great outcome.

What’s your favorite holiday?

SH: Halloween! My favorite time of the year! Colors changing, leaves everywhere, ghostly winds, spooky things, pumpkin spice, and candy corn!

Are you more of an introvert or an extrovert? What are the benefits and drawbacks of that?

SH: I’m an introverted extrovert. I love my solitude, but I also love being around my closest friends. I think it’s a good balance. However, the downside is that I have a social battery. When it’s full, I can be the life of the party. When it’s empty, I want to hide from the world.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

SH: My warning label would read, “CAUTION: May break out in random song and dance.”

What’s your favorite board game and non-board game?

SH: My favorite board game is Scrabble and my favorite video game is the Sims.
