Hello, everyone! This is Christopher Badell, Editor-in-Chief here at Greater Than Games. I’ve got an important announcement to make.
This is a big week for us.
As of yesterday morning, Greater Than Games is now part of Flat River Group. Flat River Group has been an important business partner for us here since 2013, as they are a major distribution company in the tabletop industry. We’ve been impressed by their business acumen, as well as their straight-forward and professional approach to the work they do. Over the past few years, Paul Bender (President of Greater Than Games) and I have been in talks with Matt Stahlin and Roshan Gummattira (the President and CFO of Flat River Group, respectively) about ways we all could better serve our customers and the tabletop gaming industry in general. This led to a lot of conversations and negotiations over the course of this last year about how we could best join forces. It was of utmost importance to us that if this thing were to happen, our products, our customers, and our employees would all be treated with the respect they deserve and continue to be taken care of as well as we have for the last decade, if not better. Fortunately, that is all important to the team at Flat River Group, as well!
So, what does that mean for us? Greater Than Games is still here, including everyone on the GTG team. We’re going to keep making games, but with more support and resources than we had before. Additionally, our GTG Operations department is stronger than ever as we integrate the Flat River Group methods and technology upgrades into our approach to warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution. We’re working on a ton of major projects — some of which you might have heard of, and some that are brand new — and we’re excited to grow together with Flat River Group, and with all of you out there who have made the last decade of GTG possible.
I’m sure you have questions. And we are all about answering them! Paul and I will be doing a Livestream video on our YouTube channel next Thursday, December 9th, at 2:00 PM CST. We look forward to talking through this growth, as well as fielding any questions you want to ask us about what all this means. And, as always, feel free to reach out to us at email@example.com with any questions.
Thank you all for being an important part — I daresay the most important part — of Greater Than Games for over 10 years now. We couldn’t have done it without you. And we’re far from done, now! Things are changing, but with your help, that change is full of possibility and promise. So keep defending the island from the Invaders. Keep on saving the Multiverse. And keep playing Greater.
