Heroic acts, villainous bosses, darkness at every corner, and scourges tainting the land… These are just a few things to look forward to in the mighty battle to save the realm in Defenders of the Realm: Legends Edition!
However, we have some news to share. We are delaying this amazing crowdfunding adventure to the fall. Before we’re able to launch the campaign on BackerKit, there are still some bits and bobs we need to finalize. We want this campaign to have all the information you need to get excited, and we weren’t able to guarantee that by launching in August as originally planned.
The new date is this fall, so we aren’t too far from it! With Gen Con on the horizon pulling our team’s time and focus in many directions, we want to make sure that this campaign receives every bit of attention that it deserves. We know that you want to see Defenders at its best and so do we! We can’t wait to bring you this legendary edition of the classic co-op game that will offer the same feel of the original that you love (or may not have experienced!), but with all new mechanics and stunning visuals.

Speaking of Gen Con, we will still be previewing Defenders of the Realm at the convention! You too will get to see this fantastic co-op fantasy game at our booth 1521. Sit down and see what you and your friends are able to accomplish against bosses and minions alike! Or try to join one of our ticketed playthrough events in Hoosier Room 140. While all the events are sold out, you may take advantage of any no-shows using generic tickets. We look forward to seeing you at the show this week, and hearing your thoughts on the game! Experience the action and the adventure of juggling bosses, minions, and scourges all while trying to stay alive and cross the realm.
If you’re curious about the campaign at all, be sure to check out our campaign preview page. It has all the need-to-know information about the game. There are over 100 miniatures featured in the game, including 4 atypical heroes (dwarf mage anyone?) and 4 terrifying bosses! There’s minions galore, curses, and so much more. This cooperative game allows for simultaneous or solo play – meaning that there is no turn order. You and your team of heroes have to work together to defeat the bosses. But for every action taken, you gain one darkness to increase the darkness tracker. Too much and you just might have to worry about a boss storming Monarch city or being overrun with minions. Will you be able to stop the hoard and save the realm?
We can’t wait to bring Defenders of the Realm to you in its best possible form! We hope you’re just as excited as we are to embark on this adventure – just a little later than planned!
