COVID MESSAGE
GTG values the health and wellbeing of all of our Citizens and will continue to follow the science and updates regarding COVID-19 and how it impacts large gatherings such as conventions. Once we feel confident in the ability for our employees and Citizens to attend these events safely, we will be sure to let you know. We miss you all and look forward to seeing you at conventions again!

What do Greater Than Games Citizens do?

Your role as a Citizen is to support our staff by demoing games, helping out in our retail area, or by assisting other Demoers. We use a scheduling app to ensure all of our Citizens know when their shifts are, where they are located, and what games/tasks are expected of them. Because Citizens get to volunteer for their shifts, they have full flexibility of their schedule, allowing them to enjoy the convention while still meeting their minimum hour requirements.

What conventions will GTG need Citizens at?

Currently, we attend six conventions where we need additional help:

A Citizen Newsletter is emailed out quarterly, and includes GTG news, upcoming events, new games, demo opportunities, plus much more! The majority of our direct communication will be via email.

We also have two social media platforms setup for Citizen use! The Citizen Facebook group is where Citizens can share photos from events, plan meet-ups at future conventions, and whatever else they want! The Citizen Discord group is a place to hang out, share information with each other and keep in touch! Once you are approved as a Citizen, you can join these platforms!

The great thing about conventions is that they’re constantly evolving. We’re currently revising our Code of Conduct to reflect these evolutions and to make things better for you as Citizens. We’ll have the updated document posted as soon as it’s available.
