Kismet hexing Setback is typical woman scorned though, one of the oldest tropes in existence( It turns up in Gilgamesh, and the  Táin) so it's more accepted than the spear counterpart.

As for Expat shooting Setback, it's equally strange both ways

Based on the story we've gotten on it I find the shooting funny regardless of gender.   As to the other piece it's messed up no matter what to actually succeed in cursing someone like that.

Misterection?

Headcannon accepted yes

Maybe you all should think about alternative ways to break that up into two words before signing off on it. ;)

I know it's slightly cheating, but I would probably call him Mister Action. Unlike Miss Information, who pretends to be a humble secretary, Mister Action pretends to be a humble security guard / helper (since sadly, male receptionists still kind of draw attention.) He leaps into action, in ways designed to subtly screw everything up.

And we have Citizens Dawn, Hammer, and Anvil!

As cool as Hammer and Anvil look, I and LOVING Dawn's beard.  (Disclosure: it might be because I have a red beard, and therefore might be biased.)

I don't know about Dawn's beard, it stops you from seeing the resemblance to Expat, which I think is important.

I'd be willing to bet that Citizen Dawn kicked out Expat in this universe at least in part because his beard was never as magnificent and well-maintained as his father's.

Oh my god, that beard is epic. :D

Does anyone else think Anvil looks a lot like Fanatic? Maybe it's just the armor and stoicism...

Citizen Dawn is hands down my favorite FtM SotM character we've seen so far.

@Princess Cool: Killjoy. ;PAlso, over on Reddit, some folks are going "Now that they're gender-swapped, the fact that Setback got their powers when Kismet hexed them in retaliation for a breakup and Setback and Expat met when the latter accidentally shot the former, are both a little disturbing", and I'm like, "the fact that you only now find them a little disturbing says a bit about how we as a society view gender".

I know right? And either way, they didn't hex them intentionally, they were just mad and said a very minor insult, which while rude is not exactly unexpected in a breakup (And lets face it, Setback was pretty callous for their part, at least pay lip service to long distance!). Bottom line I think people are overreacting.

*snort* Citizen Hammer's hair is on fire!

She has such an evilly mischeivous expression on her face, too...

That is SUCH AN AWESOME PIECE. Man, everything about that works. Dawn as a bearded goliath of a man, Anvil, Hammer with hair on fire, man this has got to be my favorite one so far, hands down.

I keep getting stuck on the name. There must be a better masculine version of Dawn, because all I can think of is "Citizen Dan." And that's just underwhelming.

I'm not sure I understand the need for a name change.  That's still Citizen Dawn.  Especially with what we know lore wise on how they do naming conventions.

Well I mean, I presume the name came up at least in part because her given name is "Dawn."

Plus a superpowerful, cult-of-personality leading supervillain named "Citizen Dan" is just funny to me.

Somone on the twitter called him "Citizen Don".

I'm kind of kicking myself for not immediately thinking of that.

I'm guessing that is Don Cohen, and he took the name "Citizen Dawn" when he became a super-villain.

(I thought of Don about five minutes after I posted "Dan" here. I still think Dan is funnier.)

@TakeWalker: Citizen Anvil does look rather like a light-skinned Fanatic, I think.

Citizen Don's beard is definitely epic. I think it's actually blond like normal Dawn's, but just highlighted red by all the fire. I agree with the kilt-like comments; he kind of looks like some badass Scottish-Canadian lord here to wreck your noise.

Citizen Hammer looks pretty much like the textbook example of that sort of archetypal woman in stories that you meet at some wild party and is lots of crazy fun up until the point that she decides to kill you Yandere-style.

I just don't see this epic beard everyone else is talking about.

Sure, it's got multiple colours and looks pretty rugged, but epic? It's no Mainstay beard.

What Citizen Don's facial hair lacks in length it makes up for in thick, whiskery regality. Mainstay has a wild hellion biker epic sort of beard, while Don has a majestic patriarch epic sort of beard.

Citzen Don isn't Don Cohen in the swapiverse.  It's Alberto Sacerdote.  His persona is less quasi-Nazi racial supremacist and more Mafia boss.

I mean he is recording the Apostate episode presumably and he did say on one of the Swaptober twitter threads that Apostate is basically a gender flip of Fanatic design-wise, so, very technically speaking...

Pretty neat Fem-CR! She ditched the poncho for what looks like a duster/long jacket and (I know nothing of women's clothing, so pardon me if I'm wrong) a corset of some kind. I guess this version of Chrono doesn't see much need to hide their robotic arm.

That stare. . .

Is it getting hot in here, or is that arm made of liquid metal?

That is probably the best stare I've seen Adam draw.  Conveys so much about her.  Fantastic job.

I find it interesting that her star has a different number of points.  I assume that this is a RPG change, but it's still cool.

Not exactly, a number of these I'm straight up redesigning as if designing the character this way for the first time. The more iconic ones like the FV it's harder to deviate.

To be honest before I clicked the link I expected the song Walk like an Egyptian. Though this song still makes perfect sense.

Sounds like a question for the Letters Page - I'm wondering if there's some big reason for not including him near his Nemesis in the production schedule (Wraith was the second full episode for crying out loud) other than just not wanting to lead off their podcast about super heroes with a super dark story about a serial killer.
