Lazer Ryders - Coming October 11th To Your Table!

Lazer Ryders is coming to Kickstarter on Tuesday, October 11th at 10 AM Central time! What is Lazer Ryders? Well, I'm glad you asked!

LAZER RYDERZ is the most totally excellent Kickstarter of the year dudes and dudettes!

This totally tubular new 80's retro game is a high-speed, high-energy, trackless racing game with light push your luck, area denial, and strategy elements.

Superbly designed by Nicole Kline and Anthony Amato of Cardboard Fortress Games fame, with art from Basil Murad of Blood+Chrome. Players take on the role of one of four legendary Ryderz as they race to capture all three prisms needed to charge the portal to their next destination. The portal only allows one Ryder to pass through before moving on to a new location in the galaxy, so speed is essential to meet your goal. But the faster you go the harder it is to turn and if you run into another player's Lazer you'll crash! Who will continue on their quest and who will be left behind? Will it be the Galactic Waveryder - our adrenaline fueled surfer who is seeking the next great thrill and most radical solar waves? Or the Lazer Shark - always on the hunt for her next prey as she seeks the fabled Blood Nebula to restart her species? Perhaps the Super Sheriff - greatest of the Law Star Rangers who travels to the outreaches of the known (and unknown) galaxy to bring the universe's criminals to speedy justice? Or will it be the Phantom Cosmonaut - the Ghost of a long-distant era whose true quest is a mystery to those he encounters, but his speed is without question as he seems to move in the blink of an eye?

So grab your hairspray, leg warmers, jean jackets, bubble-gum, and finger-less gloves and get ready to relive all of your favorite Saturday morning cartoons and your favorite 80's movies with Lazer Ryderz!

Back this project and Ride the LAZER! *high-pitched guitar wail*

Sounds like instead of light cycles it's surfers, sharks, and other characters. Now there may be more to it but from the description. I'm not getting the sense that there is much more to the game.
